I saw 4 patches of people I kind of know, tonight.

One was a kid n his girlfriend I met about 10 years ago n gotta to to their wedding at ashcave n take pics :)

Cool hand Luke n his magic bike n Logan, with his girls, knew him when he was in high school.

When I first got on top I tried to get some pics of a couple girls with their cameras and 4 pals popped up, sky was overcast so I dabbled with their pic a bit.

As for the magic kaleidoscope pic, all I have to do is try to hand hold a camera and point at the city lights.

Didnt take the camera I can actually see with.. just went in to get my pills n had to stop at Mt P.. back and in the house, left the pills n the truck..

Back from mt p

Last night Puparonia was shivering, I had nothing to fit but put this shirt on her, trying to walk stumbling around.

On the way up I saw this mom n her boy. the sky was kind of bland .. but about an hour later it was nice so using my time machine I transformed em :)

By looking at these cell towers you can see where the sunsets on the first day of winter, day after solstice.

Santa in deep thought, hoping the elves don't goof up and Rudoph got the bandage taken off his nose.

I did, kind of create the video for the dual sunsets of 2025 cept forgot, me n the pup looking like characters in a key stone cop  movie.

Got to take pics for a couple kids when I first got to the setup spot.. then a dad, boy n pup came by and I got to capture em with their camera.

Setup at post 34, camera pointed, 232.81 degrees..

Tested the plan today, tommorow 2 mph wind, sky cover 12%, should be good

Looks like the clouds will cover later, but, try this 

Dec 21 Have someone take your pic Must stand in the exact same spot for both pics .

Point the camera 270 degrees You move left as far as u can and remain in the frame 

On june 20th Point the camera west, this time move as far right as possible while remain in the frame 

Tomorrow the best chance on mt p Need to change the lyrics for me I guess but there is an element that fits. 

A fleeting thought, the summer solstice being the gateway to my arrival 🙂 #solstice winter 2024 19m

It was a decent day so I took Puparonia in to line up the tripod position .. must have taken a couple hundred pics then headed to the top to check out an idea n ran n2 Santa n the pup went wild running around just a blur so I worked on em.
A girl was waiting on her pals to do an engagement n u know I wanna capture everything.. keeping out of the way a bit. 
This is one of the Mt pics I took today n I saw the moon coming up behind the trees, it was big on the way home and I had to be quick b4 the clouds covered it.

N b4 coming down I gotta take a couple pics of these guys n their pup :)

Oh, I did an eye transplant on the girl from the first pic because she had em close on this one.

Most only see the view from above but if u happen to be below, on the far side of the track is a gate or at the edge of the demo derby, taking pics at the same azimuth/angle will let them be merged together

If I am still froggy for another year I will try to combine em.. some of you are better at creating content ..

Waiting for a sunny day

Took the sony n pentax in. The object is to take pics at the same degrees but diffeent distance.

The sony said wrong battery, ugh so I used the lense adapter on the Pentax.. double ugh.

I spent over 6 hours walking around then to the top

Before leaving I saw a little compass I had for a long time n had a fun idea.
I wrote how to get to Santa at the north pole and give it to em with instructions... I did give it to a grandma ?
Thinking .

With the wrong lens that would not focus I did capture some of the chipmunks on top and worked on em to bring out a trace of detail.

Ready to come down a couple wanted to give Puparonia some pets n it was my Q to attempt to save the day.

I did a couple actual distance with a cropped close up to give prospective

I had Puparonia stay and watch the camera for me.. Oh well as long as I am still froggy I can keep trying to accomplish important things :)

Went back to photograph the post positions and cover up my yellow paint. Super cold n windy and captured this guy in my scan.
Got to the parking lot at the park n saw these pals get out of their car with their pups, didnt want puparonia out getting in trouble n then I waited until their pup finished n took this candid pic .. thinking what might have been going on some years ago.
On top, a guy was just sitting there..colder than .. how n the .. I don't know, an emotional time.. hmmm 

Gonna be bad for a few days, wonder if I should put the top on the Jeep for the winter or go for a ride in an open slay :)

Working on the map project

Using google sat map is ok but no details, last summer I took gps positions of every post, the idea of creating a grid map
My telephoto is a bit better but the post blend in with the trees, not much contrast.
Yesterday I went to the top and painted yellow spots on post I can see from the ground.  Today overcast 😏 but will go in with my sidekick to see if they show up... if so, I will paint over the yellow spots.

I was gonna buy a drone but so much trouble .. maybe just pay someone to get my selected images.

Cold n windy didnt figure anyone would be on top, but I went there to paint the post a bright color so I could see their position from the ground , taking a pic and merging them with google maps. 

This pup was standing by himself n tried to get him to use his flash, didnt know how so I popped this one 

Went down to check em out but it was too dark. In the fairgrounds they were taking tickets to see the light n charging $10, I told em I would give em $5 just to take a pic with Puparonia, they did but she had her head turned, so wont post it..
